We are seeking a Sales Development Manager, Nordics to bring novel, advanced products and technology for genetic analysis on single DNA molecules to the market in the area of next generation sequencing

Today, genes are easily decoded by advanced DNA sequencers. Already, sequencing forms an integrated part of R&D programs in the pharmaceutical industry, diagnosis and clinician’s decisions on the best possible treatment regimens for patients in leading hospitals. Future healthcare will increasingly depend on accurate detection of genetic variations by sequencing.

Samplix enables the holy grail in genetics; to perform genetic analysis on single DNA molecules. Single DNA molecule analysis eliminates the risk of interaction between different DNA molecules. Samplix has developed a proprietary single molecule microfluidics XdropÔ technology that maintains the integrity of DNA and allows for error proof sequencing.

The position

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Sales Development Manager for the Nordic countries. You have strong technical knowledge in the area of next generation sequencing with credibility to effectively consult on solutions, products and technologies with key decision makers. You are excited to work with a dynamic team of talented professionals to introduce and grow the Xdrop™ technology and products in your region. With your strong business acumen you will build a territory strategic sales plan to deliver on commercial targets and actively build awareness of Samplix’ products. You will report to VP Commercial Operations.

Main responsibilities

o Establishing and maintaining strong relationship with key decision makers and other customers through technical consultation on solutions and products and understanding of customer business needs to win the business

o Build and execute a territory business plan in alignment with the Field Application Scientists to meet or exceed commercial targets in your region

o Actively demonstrate strong prospecting and closing skills

o Commitment to accurate and timely sales process management including sales forecasting and pipeline management through use of the CRM system and other relevant IT tools

o Conducting technical sales presentations at customers and key opinion makers as well as at workshops/seminars primarily in your region

o Work actively with Marketing & Communication, Product Management and R&D to provide feedback from the market as well as feedback on demand generating activities

Requirements

o Minimum 2 years of consultative sales experience from Life Science and Genomics market and an understanding of DNA sequencing technologies – a Master’s or Ph.D degree is desirable

o Ideally history of working relationship with key thought leaders in Next Generation Sequencing

o Strong organizational capability, ability to work independently as well as ability to collaborate with colleagues

o Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with the customer and across multi-disciplinary teams within Samplix.

o Up to 60% travel time
